Winston Churchill in India in 1896.
Here he was serving as part of the 4th Queen’s Hussars.
Winston had quite some military experience. After graduation from the Royal Military College of Sandhurst, Churchill went on to join the Hussars. He would also act as a war correspondent and would change between the roles of soldier and writer. From India to the Sudan and South Africa. Winston got to witness war first hand.
I know nothing about this photograph, other than it being from 1893 and im thinking the southern United States.
Following on from my last image this is another piece of fern inspired furniture.
Coalbrookdale cast iron garden seat from the companies catalogue of 1875.
