theladyinyellow asked: Thanks for posting about Ascot fashion in the Edwardian era! I've been having a hard time getting a hold of James Sherwood's book about the Royal Ascot in time to include it in my research paper. There wouldn't happen to be any more images from that time in the book you haven't shared yet?

Hello there. It was so cool to get this question. Its nice to know of others into the fashions of Ascot. Im afraid I cannot remember alot of the details of the book; as I havent looked at in some time. I do remember how impressed I was with it however and would recommend it. I cannot though say how useful it is for study; again simply due to the time span since reading it.

I am currently living in the US you see and the book is back home in England. Im sorry I couldnt be more helpful. Anything I can help with, please ask. Best of luck in your studies.

liobi asked: Dude, how did you hold out during the storm of the century up there? You alright?

We were all fine, but thank you for asking. We were very lucky. It was really scary, but the area of Wichita I was in escaped the worst of it and really I think; Kansas was lucky as a whole.

Hello all!

Im sorry for such a large absence but I have been up to all sorts since my last post.

Yep I have moved to the USA; specifically Kansas.

This came about due to my lovely girlfriend living here and myself deciding to just go for it. So here I am.

And my first purchase for myself other than the necessities; yes thats right an original US Civil War sword.
